I’m one of 13 children, my parents immigrated from Italy to London, Ontario before most of us were born with the exception of my older sister and brother. I saw how hard they had to work to make a life for our family and we learned at an early age that we too had to work hard to help out the family.
When I was 15 years old I had a full time job working at a printing company at night and attending high school during the day. My older brothers & sister did not finish high school as they had to work full-time to support the family. Being the 5th oldest I to would have followed their footsteps by taking on a full time job but the determination in me made me want to finish high school so I did both. It was hard and tiresome at times but I persevered and I graduated from high school, the first of my siblings to do so.
I was sent to a Chartered Accountant’s office from the co-op program in high school just before I graduated to gain experience. After completing my 2 week placement I was offered a full time job by the company. I gained some valuable knowledge on how a business functions and how clients were serviced.
As I continued to grow and gained more knowledge and experience over the years I advanced to becoming the manager of a department that serviced small business clients with a national accounting firm. I’ve always loved working with numbers, excelled in accounting and have continuously invested in upgrading my skills for the last 30 years plus.
Through my experience with working and dealing with clients I found how important it was to be able to help clients with their business no matter how big or small they were.
I started my accounting services firm in 1991 as a way to fulfill my passion for helping people get a better handle on their finances so they can build the business they want.
In 2007 I came across a church that was for sale and I purchased it to run my business out of it. The church is over 100 years old and it’s on Egerton Street in London, Ontario. It is very unique and beautiful and I feel from the day that I walked into it that it was meant for me. I always have felt that things happen for a reason and this was meant for me and my company to help as many people as we can through our business.
Since my company’s inception, I’ve worked with remarkable small business owners & managers across a number of industries providing bookkeeping, accounting and tax services as well as consulting and financial planning services.
Experience has taught me that knowing your financial position and surrounding yourself with a talented team are essential to building a sustainable business.
I’ve always been driven, hardworking and committed to my vision and my goals. I’m deeply grateful for the many people who’ve invested their time and expertise to help me achieve what I have on this journey. I believe it’s essential to use your strengths to help others in a meaningful way.
You will find me hiking, dancing or golfing.
I have 3 beautiful children two daughters and one son. They are the love of my life and I can’t tell you how much I have enjoy getting together with them for a meal or to celebrate an occasion or just hanging out with them, we always have so much fun.
I love walks on the beach, tropical destinations for relaxation and visiting other countries to experience different cultures and customs. I enjoy cooking (did I mention I was Italian) and tasting foods of all countries. I’m passionate in lifelong learning and deepening my knowledge.
The relationships I’ve built continue to multiply and at the end of the day it’s all about building relationships.
